About this property

Welcome to Travelodge Bournemouth Cooper Dean

Travelodge Bournemouth Cooper Dean offers straightforward accommodation with simple, clean rooms equipped with flat-screen TVs. The hotel caters to guests seeking budget-friendly lodging, providing complimentary parking, which many reviewers found convenient, especially for those visiting nearby locations or catching early flights from Bournemouth Airport just 10 minutes away by car. The property is accessible and welcomes pets and families, although it does not offer amenities such as air conditioning, a pool, or an on-site restaurant.

Situated just off a main road at Cooper Dean Roundabout, the hotel provides practical access to several local attractions including Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre, Russell Cotes Art Gallery & Museum, and Brownsea Island. While some guests noted that the location can be easy to miss due to shared access roads and limited signage, the quiet and secure environment was appreciated, with security key fob access and well-maintained communal areas.

The accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable, with many guests highlighting the comfortable beds and strong hot showers. Some feedback mentioned the absence of bedside sockets in certain rooms and the lack of an elevator to upper floors, which may be factors to consider for those with mobility concerns. Although no breakfast or restaurant facilities are available on-site, a variety of eating options can be found nearby, including the adjacent Toby Carvery and other local establishments.

Travelodge Bournemouth Cooper Dean scores moderately for visitors focused on sightseeing and practical travel needs. It appeals to guests looking for a no-frills stay with essential services at an affordable price, especially suitable for families, pet owners, and those needing easy access to the Bournemouth area without the extras that come with higher-category hotels.

Handy little site with free parking for guests, and conveniently situated right off the main road into Bournemouth. However the access road is shared with other businesses, and very easy to miss. The local sign posting is focused on the adjacent Toby Restaurant, and it isn't clear that the slip road is for Travelodge too. Very easy to drive past on the very busy dual carriageway, and the U turn is not straightforward. The accommodation is up to Travelodges' typically consistent good standard, and this site is pretty quiet at night bearing in mind its proximity to the busy spur road. It also has a drive thru Burger King, and Esso petrol station as immediate neighbours. Handy for overnight stopovers.

Great value for money and ideal for early flights as it’s only 10 minutes drive from the airport. Bed was very comfortable and room clean. We had requested a cot in the room but the mattress was very thin and unusable as you could feel the metal bars underneath. My baby cried every time i put her in it. We had to put a folded quilt underneath to make it more comfortable for her to sleep. Another minor thing, we were allocated a room upstairs, which was a little inconvenient as there was no lift and we had 4 suitcases, and a buggy. When I asked to change the receptionist said that the hotel was full and we had not requested ground floor so could not change. Would definitely use this hotel again however next time will request a GF.

We booked Travelodge Cooper Dean, Bournemouth for one night as we were visiting nearby for a family event. The hotel is just off a main road, but a convenient location being out of town. We booked an early check in and were met by a lovely lady to checked us in and made us feel very welcome. The hotel reception was clean, tidy and quiet. Our room was on the third floor, no lifts, but easy to manage the wide staircase. Security doors throughout the hotel that can only be accessed with an allocated fob. Our room was spotlessly clean, nice cotton bed linen, comfy beds, tea and coffee making facilities. Bathroom spotless, plenty of toilet roll, soap and shower soap/shampoo. Lovely powerful shower, hot, soft water, bath towels, foot mat. Our room looked out to the main road, we could hear it if we listened, but it didn't cause a nuisance and we both slept extremely well. Check out was 12 noon, so no rush to vacate. The lady on the reception, Swapna was very pleasant and checked us out. All in all a very good choice of hotel and good value for money. Thankfully, I cannot report any negatives! NB. The Toby carvery is next to the Travelodge. We popped in there for a drink, extremely clean, welcoming staff on FoH and pleasant bar staff. we didn't eat there, but food smelt and looked delicious! We had breakfast at the Harvester on the other side of the main road - easy to navigate walking with plenty of pedestrian crossings. This place was clean, tidy, lovely staff and a great full english!

The room was clean and warm. Would be nice to have sockets next to the bed for phone charging. No restaurant but lots of food options around. Person at the reception was friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking, even for large vans, don't forget your registration plate input at the reception. Strong hot shower. Overall good experience and value for money.

Stayed here for 2 nights while relative was in Bournemouth hospital, perfect location for visiting is a short walk to the hospital, the free parking makes a huge difference, the staff (especially Juan) were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and modern, beds comfortable, charging sockets by bedsides, shower could have been better but was acceptable. Restaurant next door and garage which was very handy, would highly recommend staying here.

A great base for a trip to the new forest and the coast. Rooms are small but adequate and very clean. Good selection of restaurants nearby. Would stay again.

Basic, no frills hotel. A place to lay your head for the night. Clean, comfortable, safe. What more do you want? A night's sleep? Insist on a room at the front of the house because the back has a busy main road running right outside. Not the hotel's fault, just be aware if that's important to you

I often stay at the Travelodge, Bournemouth Cooper Dean, when visiting my brother who lives nearby. My last stay was for 3 nights 1-4 July. I was lucky as I was given a big room, but having been a few times, I can confirm that all the rooms whether big or small are all very clean and comfortable, and neither too hot or too cold. Plus if very hot fans are provided. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.
